AB Check works by running A/B experiments on payment methods directly at checkout to determine which option performs better.
When an experiment is active, AB Check automatically splits your checkout traffic between different payment method variations. Each customer is assigned to a variation where the order or priority of payment methods can change.
For example, you might test:
-
Variation A: Credit Card shown first
-
Variation B: Cash on Delivery shown first
AB Check then tracks checkout events and orders to measure performance based on the metric you choose, such as:
-
Checkout conversion rate
-
Average order value (AOV)
Once the experiment reaches the predefined number of checkouts or orders, AB Check analyzes the data and identifies the winning variation.
This allows merchants to make data-driven decisions about which payment method placement leads to better conversions and higher revenue.
