What is SupaEasy External API Access (and Why Use It?)

Simply put, the External API allows your external software, like a custom CRM, an ERP, an inventory management tool, or a third-party application, to talk directly to SupaEasy. Instead of manually clicking through menus to configure rules, your external systems can programmatically create, update, and delete Shopify discounts, payment customizations, shipping customizations, and checkout validations via the SupaEasy platform.

  • Discounts & Discount Codes: Programmatically create, update, or delete Shopify discount functions. You can even bulk add, remove, or list code-based discounts automatically, which is ideal for launching flash sales or syncing personalized loyalty rewards directly from your marketing platform.

  • Payment Customizations: Dynamically hide, reorder, or customize payment gateway options at checkout based on external triggers or customer criteria.

  • Shipping & Delivery Rates: Create, update, or remove delivery rate rules on the fly. If your external logistics provider updates their parameters, your checkout can reflect those changes immediately.

  • Checkout Validation Rules: Set up real-time checkout validation rules programmatically to ensure every order placed meets your exact business constraints before a customer can complete their purchase.

Getting Started: Requirements and Setup

We designed the setup process to be clean, visual, and highly intuitive. You don't need a massive engineering department to get things up and running.

  1. Available on Every Plan

There are no exclusive plan walls here. The External API is completely available across all SupaEasy plans. It functions simply as a powerful new method to create and manage your store customizations, standing right alongside our existing Wizard and Editor tools to give you ultimate flexibility in how you work.

2. Finding the API Dashboard

Once you activate any plan, navigating to the feature is a breeze. As highlighted in a brand-new "API" option is now available directly within the left-hand sidebar of the SupaEasy app inside your Shopify admin panel.

3. Generating Your Secure Token

To authenticate your requests should generate an API key. In the External API dashboard, you'll find a simple "Generate Token" button. Clicking this creates a unique authentication token. As shown in the configuration overview This token acts as your secure integration key when configuring external platforms to send requests to your store's base URL.

4. Interactive Documentation

Developers will appreciate our built-in OpenAPI spec documentation, previewed in.
Each endpoint (such as 
/api/external/v1/discount/create) is clearly mapped out, making it incredibly easy for your team to copy specs and see exactly how requests should be structured.
