No, AB check only reads your order data once it's placed to understand and record the analytics within the app; however we don't modify/update anything on the store directly.
To facilitate the AB Check cases and different placements of the payment methods, AB Check only runs a temporary operation on checkout page to alter the placement of the payment method.
